We have recently installed a second (at least third) hand rayburn 355sfw and I am getting to grips with efficiently heating the rads. On re-reading the user manual it suggests removing the boiler side and back firebricks for winter heating use. I have done this but the bricks have broken up as the last owner informed me they would need replacing. To ensure the best performance from your Rayburn it should be serviced once a year; preferably at the start of the heating season. This appliance must be commissioned by an approved engineer. Failure to install and maintain the appliance correctly could lead to prosecution.
